Urdina
I’ve seen many different patterns of ruffled wristlets. (Mrs. Beeton is a good one) I love their victorian feel, and the charming way they poke out from your sleeves like little flowers. So I made Urdina, my own take on the design. It’s a fun project for using partial skeins of yarn, and makes a nice gift.
Yarn: Frog Tree Alpaca Sports Weight in… some blue color. I dunno. Let’s go with color 38. That sounds right.
Needles: Us 6/4.00 mm
Gauge: 16 stitches = 4 inches in minicable rib pattern
Note: Use minicable techinique for the cables.
Co 26 stitches
Row 1: K3, *P2, K2 to last 3 stitches*, P3
Row 2: K1, *C2B, P2 to last stitch* P1
Row 3: Repeat Row 1
Row 4: K1, *C2F, P2 to last stitch* P1
Repeat until work measures approx. 3 inches. Work ruffle pattern as follows:
Row 1: K2fb to end
Row 2: P to end
Repeat rows 1 and 2 3 times. BO.
Sew up the side seam and weave in the ends. That’s all there is to it.
